Tracking down needles........
I went up to our local wool shop yesterday, with a list of DPNs that I need to add to my collection. Only to find that the shop does not stock any DPNs. It drives me mad having to pay postage on fairly basic items that I would expect all wool shops to stock. It's bad enough not having much choice in yarn, but I realise that shops can't stock all yarns and cater to all tastes, however I would have thought a stock of DPNs and circular needles isn't too much to expect! It's all very well trying to support local businesses, but.......

My needles are (in)breeding....
I've got a few patterns for toys knitted using sock yarn and DPNs, so thought I'd get some practice on knitting in the round in. All of them use 2.25mm needles to form a firm fabric for stuffing.........well, I must have 6 pairs of 2.5mm, but not one single pair of 2.25! Why have I got so many 2.5mm pairs - have they been breeding in my knitting bag, and if so, why couldn't they have produced a 2.25mm pair??!
Need to visit a knitting shop.......

Photos
Both yesterday and today I had hoped to photograph some finished projects and some WIPs to add to my blog, but it is so dark, that I think I'd better wait for a day with daylight! Winter seems to have well and truly come this week, great for getting some crafting time, but awful for all the outdoor pets and wildlife.
I have got grand (haha) plans for organising my stash, but I am a very unorganised person so I'm not hopeful of pulling that off!

Strange day today..........
I should have been in hospital today, having a long awaited for operation that I need very badly - but am completely dreading actually having! However, it was cancelled on Thursday afternoon, due to the surgeon having a "family crisis", with his secretary unable to give me any idea when it will be rescheduled. It took a huge effort getting ready to go into hospital, as I run a rabbit rescue, so as well as me having to be looked after, the care of the rabbits while I am off my feet is of primary concern to me.
Whilst I appreciate that there was probably a very good reason for the op being cancelled, I would feel a little happier if I had some idea of when I am likely to have the operation done, and know when I need to arrange for rabbit care. The secretary couldn't tell me if the delay would be days, weeks or months, which really isn't good enough. So it's indefinite pain for the forseeable future................

More time needed....
.....why are there not enough hours in the day, or days in the week?! My list of to do projects gets longer and longer - if only designers would stop issuing brilliant new designs, to give me a sporting chance at catching up!
I have a bad case of startitis, but unfortunately haven't managed to catch finishitis just yet. I feel a need to start a toy design using DPNs, which I have developed a recent love of, somewhat surprisingly, as I used to hate knitting in the round!
